Privacy Policy
Ausie ("the app") is a private AI assistant operated by Shai Ungar for personal and household use. This policy explains what data Ausie accesses, how it is used, and how to revoke access.
Who can use Ausie
Ausie is not offered to the public. Only the operator and invited household members use it, and it only accesses Google accounts whose owners have explicitly granted access through Google's consent screen.
Google user data Ausie accesses
- Gmail: reading, searching, labelling and sending messages, when the account owner asks Ausie to do so.
- Google Calendar: reading events and creating or changing events on request.
- Google Drive: finding, reading and organising files on request.
- Basic profile: your email address, to know which account is connected.
How the data is used
Google user data is used only to carry out tasks the account owner requests, such as answering a question about an email, adding a calendar event or finding a document. It is not used for advertising, it is not sold, and it is not used to build user profiles for any other purpose.
To understand requests and compose replies, relevant content may be processed by the AI model provider Ausie runs on (Anthropic's Claude API). That provider acts as a service provider solely to produce Ausie's responses, and the data is not used to train generalised AI or machine-learning models.
Storage and security
OAuth tokens are held in an encrypted credential vault on infrastructure controlled by the operator and are never shown to the AI model. Ausie keeps only what it needs to carry out tasks and to remember context the owner has asked it to remember. Email and document contents are not copied into a separate database.
Sharing
Google user data is not shared with anyone except the service provider described above, and then only to fulfil the owner's request, unless required by law.
Google API Services User Data Policy
Ausie's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Revoking access and deleting data
You can revoke Ausie's access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. To have any data Ausie holds about you deleted, email ausie@shaiungar.me. Deletion is completed within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will be updated.
